The Cougars (9-7, 2-0) are no strangers to 5 set matches, having played in 4 prior to Tuesdays 16-25, 25-20, 25-16, 12-25, 15-12 victory on the road at American Christian. After dropping their first 3 five set matches, the Cougars have now won the last 2 that have gone the distance. Tuesday’s victory puts the Cougars clearly in the drivers seat for a 4th consecutive league title. It was a team effort on Tuesday with Wisener and Hieb leading the way in kills with 16 and 10 respectfully and Senior Middle Hitter Makeena Brabrook putting down 6 kills as well. Serving, which seems to be a strength for the Cougars, was again key in Tuesday win as PAA ended with 24 aces on the night 6 by Senior Lyra Potter. The Cougars will travel north on Thursday to participate in the annual Walla Walla University Fall Classic Tournament as they look to move their way up the division 6 ranking with the playoffs looming only a few short weeks away.
